Dr. Hicks graduated from West Virginia University School of Medicine and carried out his post-graduate residency training at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas as well as the Texas Heart Institute in Houston. With his enthusiasm for business as well as medicine, Dr. Hicks went on to obtain his MBA from the University of Dallas.
Dr. Hicks was instrumental in the formation of Pinnacle Anesthesia Consultants (now known as Pinnacle Partners In Medicine), including taking on the role as its founding President. He has held numerous managerial positions within Pinnacle and its predecessor DFW Anesthesia Associates. He has also been the Anesthesia Department Chair and Medical Director for several hospitals and a surgery center in the Irving, Texas area as well as the regional medical director for a national healthcare company. Dr. Hicks continues to practice anesthesia in the Dallas area along with performing his administrative duties at Pinnacle Partners In Medicine.
